Tips for maintaining soft, supple lips all year:
• Lips do not produce oil like our skin because they have no oil producing glands. Therefore, it is typically a challenge to keep them smooth and chap free. The most common cause of chapped lips are allergic reactions to cosmetics, extreme weather conditions like excess sun and wind exposure, lip biting and Vitamin B deficiency. Use a good lip smoothie daily to condition, protect, soften and cushion the lips. • Dry lips are typically caused by dehydration. Avoid caffeine and alcohol and opt for water instead to keep lips healthy and hydrated from the inside out. • Exfoliate your lips once or twice a week using an exfoliating cream. You can also use a toothbrush to remove dead skin and soften lips; apply a liberal amount of Lip Smoothie to lips and gently rotate your toothbrush in circles to remove any excess dryness. • Avoid smoking as this strips the area around your mouth of moisture creating fine lines and creasing. • Avoid licking, biting or chewing on your lips, as this will increase the likelihood of your lips becoming dry,
